Failed lasik eye surgery?
Bruno Sardine Asked: Failed lasik eye surgery?
I had the procedure done back in july of 10' and I was so happy I could see clearly without the need of glasses. Just after six months I notice a slight decrease in my vision. Now I can definitely tell that my eyesight has gotten worse because I can't see that well when i'm driving especially during the day and its harder for me to concentrate if i'm playing video games but its not as bad as before I got my lasik. Is it possible that I can go blind later in life and i'll be more than happy to wear glasses again. Lasik was a huge dissapointment, $3,000 down the drain ![]()

Sounds like your vision wasn't stabilized before they did the surgery (very little change in prescription over a number of exams). Most doctors give some kind of guarantee – you should contact them and ask what can be done at this point.
I'm very sorry to hear how discouraged you are about your vision and laser vision correction. everyone is different after eye surgery on the way the eye heals. I recommend that you call the centre that did your eye surgery and go in for an annual exam to see what is going on. Most clinics include this free after surgery and give you some type of warranty that if you regress surgery is free or very minimal. Look into it all you may need is a simple retreat. I work at a laser clinic and our regression rate is less then 5% but it can happen. Usually all it takes is one retreat to get you back to great vision. Please look into it and may only be one eye that regressed and it is putting strain on your other eye. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. I really wish you the best and hope that you can gain your faith back in laser vision correction. I had it done myself 10 years ago and it is the best gift I ever gave myself. I know at one point my eyes could slightly regress but I know that I would do all over again if that day ever happens.
